1. LEAN MIXTURE – more air than fuel - 18:1 or 17:1 Effects: - Engine Stall - Hard Starting - No Engine Idle Causes: - Incorrect Adjustment of Mixture - Lake Intake Manifold - Malfunction Idle, Solenoid Switch B. RICH MIXTURE – more fuel than air - this is needed during cold starting & high speed engine operation. - spark plug wet and fouled - high emission Causes: - Block Air Cleaner - Incorrect Adjustment of Mixture Screw - Choke Valve stay closed - Fuel level in float too high of flooding Fuel
